Day 4 - Free Summer Reading Programs

Okay...this isn't an outing, but it is something fun and important to do with your kids - summer reading. Barnes & Noble and Border's both have programs were your children can earn a book as a reward for completing their reading program. Best part - you can take them to check out those free books at the store where they sit on display. A great incentive to get kids going. The local county libraries also offer summer reading programs - for example Henrico County Libraries give kids a coupon for a free IceCream Dream Cone at Chick-fil-A just for registering, and after 5 books they earn a Slurpee.

Below are the links to Barnes & Noble, Border's and the local county libraries.
